Chicago – The Promethean Conclave

The 1893 Columbian Exposition was a wonder to behold, the pinnacle of achievement of some of the era’s brightest minds. At its debut, it was lit by a hundred thousand lamps provided by Nikola Tesla, a miracle of light and illumination that sprung to life at the press of a button by President Cleveland. Ferris’ first ever wheel, a towering mass of steel and masterwork of engineering, provided the perfect vantage from which to view the gleaming White City and the sprawling gardens surrounding it. The statue of the Republic welcomed the best of humanity, arms aloft to greet all who came together to share the ways they had been inspired to build, grow, and change. The ideals, principles, and spectacle of our World’s Fair linger in the hearts and minds of any prone to wonder. We, the Promethean Conclave, ask ourselves: why shouldn’t the enlightened minds of our time come together once again to build a better world?

We rely on humanity. We depend on their blood to fuel us, their aid in 1daylight, and their capability to keep the world moving forward. As beings with the potential to live forever, we must think ahead. With the environment deteriorating, and the rate of change we observe in mortal society, what awaits us is uncertain. What point is there in our prolonged lifespan if we do not work to guide the future? Evolution takes time, but it can be directed. We are a wellspring of time and ability, uniquely suited to driving that advancement and harnessing the capabilities of mortals to drive evolution. We can help drive progress.

The Promethean Conclave has theorists, scientists, patrons, and visionaries who aim to shape the future for all Kindred by pushing thought and invention forward in the present. We work together to usher in a new age of prosperity.
