THE PRAETERITA

Whether we Kindred choose to acknowledge it or not, a storm is brewing. It has consumed many of our most prominent elders, and, every year, more hear the siren call Beckoning them East. How long before their Gehenna War takes us too? To survive, we must learn the secrets of lost eons, whether it be from manuscripts, tombs, or the lips of those few remaining ancients themselves, the ones kept hidden and untainted by the dogma of Archons and Inquisitors. Only from this collective past can we become masters of our future and survive what is coming.

As the old orders crumble, cults and religions, unthinkable heresies mere decades ago, sweep in to fill the void, each using disjointed reflections of reality to control and fatten you like cattle. We see through them. Not simply content to debate in letters or libraries, we archaeologists, explorers, cryptographers, linguists, and technologists set out to unearth the dangerous truths of the past and disseminate them to those best placed to make use of them.

In a world of elusive truth and ever suffocating darkness, the Praeterita offers a path to empowerment and survival. We invite those with curiosity and determination to help blaze the path. Will that be you, or will you be counted among the many fallen when the ancients’ war comes to us?
